We resolve these issues by replacing them with our stock inventory as well as hard chroming and regrinding all surfaces.
Applying chrome assists in anti-corrosion/anti-pitting and prevents residual build-up, thus increasing the lifespan of the assembly.
Additionally, the master jaws and wedge are repaired or replaced to resolve any backlash causing weak clamping force.
The repair process is effective on all types of workholding devices including chucks (power, manual, indexing, compensating, and self-contained), steady rests (hydraulic and pneumatic), as well as hydraulic actuating cylinders, hydraulic clamping, etc.
